Sunday was a fantastic day thanks for all that attended the "Portrait Session For Your Pets". For those who didnt here is a little bit of what we did. Andrews Photography scheduled a open day were you could bring your dogs in for there portrait session. the sitting was free and the owners could order on line. Here a few examples of the great looking canines we had a chance to photograph. What a great bunch of dogs and kudos to there handlers for there excellent control. Dog portrait sessions can get out of hand quickly if you dont have those extra set of hands. We do a open call just one time a year and take private sessions through the year. So please call ahead of time to secure your date and time. Dont forget about those family photos with your family pets too. Andrews photography always keeping an eye on safety and excellence.

Even in March, Andrews Photography, Jon and Andrea were able to get out and enjoy the light. What a great day for shooting, soft even light that makes your skin and eyes glow. This is a great example of our extended engagement session. The couple wanted a few studio shots, some outside photojournalistic, and of course everyone likes ice-cream. Jon couldn't help but get her in the nose with the pralines and cream.

Tips for great engagement sessions

1. Be yourselves and try to have fun
2. Wear something casual and stay away from white and black, Jon has a good example of dark charcoal, which photographs really well for guys, dark blues work well too.
3. Dress for the day if it is cold wear a sweater
4. Try putting him in darker hues than you, he will naturally frame you in the photo
5. Listen to your photographer a few cues to follow and you will be cute in your portraits
6. Higher the same photographer for the engagements and wedding, it is a great way for him to get to know you

Embassy Suites Hotel Minneapolis-Airport won the coveted Go for the green award for excellence in all departments. I was hired to document a cross section of there events festivities. I have included some of there great food photos and celebration photos. The day was packed with green and the deserts were to die for. Nice touch with the bagpiper and the leprechaun. At Andrews Photography we love documenting there day and would love to document yours too. Look for this hotels interior shots in the near future. We will be doing a photo shoot for there sales department in June of this year.

It just feels good when you know you are on the right track, in terms of what the brides are looking for in todays market.
