Andrews Photography, A little pro bono work for The kids of Tartan High School. This is the second shoot we did for them. Very talented kids and a great set for there act. Guys and Dolls the musical.

The official start to the Holidays, Andrews Photography captures Santas arrival! Andrews-Photography was out at Woodbury Lakes on Saturday the 22nd for Santas arrival. The fun started at 4:15pm and folks were already having a blast at the games and face painting. Families having fun petting the reindeer and taking carriage rides around the mall. The activities tent was jammed with people making cards and decorating gingerbread men. One kid was brave enough to start eating his gingerbread man by biting off the head first. It was hard to see the kids smiles under all those parkas but you could hear there laughter. The cold tried to dampen there spirits but with all there was to do it was hard not to keep warm. Free mini donuts were also provided as fast as the elves could make them. Between the good cheer, frosty the snowman, and hot chocolate how could you not have fun.

It was nearing 7:00 pm and the kids were starting to get a bit fidgety waiting for old saint nick. You could feel the energy in the air something big was going to happen. Then the sleigh was sighted on I-94 heading towards the mall. but per FAA regulations Santa had to land in the parking lot due east. Woodbury police and fire met him there to safe guard the sleigh and refresh the reindeer. Then it was off to the party riding in first class style aboard a Fire Engine. He was escorted up to light the tree and say a few words to the crowd. The fireworks popped and the crowd cheered. Santa told me later that it was the best welcome he had all month and Woodbury Lakes was the place to be and be seen. I asked him what he likes best about christmas and he replied "why its the season of giving and it feels so good to help out my fellow man". Andrews Photography, quick with the camera. I bet you do not see this everyday. A monkey driving a hummer on Shepard road in Saint Paul Mn. I got three shots of this chimp driving and then the person in the back came up and took over. Guess the guy was just taking a breather while his Chimp played chauffeur. Talk about crazy, Oh and this image will be used as stock. If you need a Monkey driving a orange hummer call me! I tracked him down too his name is Mickey, we talked for hours. He mentioned that he had just gotten his class b license back. OK, How compelling is this kids eyes. Can you see the soul of this child or what. Relationship photography is the study of the subject and who they are. Smile photos are fun to get but when you are invited in to see a child's true persona it is truly a gift. I feel blessed every day that I have clients that see the value in a wall portrait that displays there child's inner self. Makayla is only 14 days and full of expressions already. Most kids just sleep and that was what we were going for in the second photo. Glad she woke up to show us a bit of herself before falling back to sleep. Meghan and Jake your wedding was a blast to document and I cant wait to be there for you in the days to come with camera in hand.

Well what a party lots of great food, beautiful decor and a great location. 3 Sons provided the food, Chef Ben really had a great fare with flair. Jodee ran a email with some of the photos taken during the party. Blaisdell is always a great location to throw a party! The orient and Ocean themes were to die for. They had a crystal snow thing going on upstairs that was flaming hot too. If you missed it this year make sure to drop by for the next one because you missed one heck of a party. Kurt and Jodi really liked the artistic overlays we do so she said run with it after the wedding. A We included a few of the overlays and some of the artist renderings we did from her wedding. Devon's wedding day. Flowers were from Woodlane Flowers, photography by Andrews-Photography. What can you say, a beautiful bride and fantastic eyes. We really wanted to show those blue orbs off and the lighting was just perfect. Cute little dog too.

We can do allot of art overlays and add certain elements based on each clients needs. When you need your portrait to have that little extra wow factor. That added depth or emotion. A great example of bridal input, we have a bride next year that will be doing her invitations in calligraphy. She found the idea of adding her penmanship to parts of the album and images intriguing. Using old poems or letters in the images are great ways to personalize too. Andrews Photography does custom album design in house without templates each album is an original and why would you want anything else.

We did a cool set of old covers with there hot passionate shot in the alley. This will definitely be the cover to her small 4x6 romantic book. I think I finally went with the last cover, it was lighter in color and the names really pop. I will be printing all three though just to make sure though. What a beautiful start to their story together.

A quincenera is a special ceremony that a girl has when she reaches the age of 15. It is a sign of showing that she is becoming a woman . The party part is where you get to show of your dance skills before the quincenera you learn how to dance any kind of dance you want hip hop, break dancing, merengue, so on. After you choose what type of dance you have to gather some boys who will be willling to dance at your quincenera. Apart from those boys you have to choose a special guy to accompany you for the waltz. Corey Cook set this model shoot up for his soon to be fiancee Carley. He wanted to capture the moment on film when he presented her the ring. Corey said,' It was so hard trying to keep this secret and she wanted to talk about marriage all week and I was just like oh god I cant wait to surprise her during the shoot at Andrews Photography". You can see the snow on the ground but thank god we didnt get hit to bad. The bride and groom were fantastic. They kept there mind open and braved the 32 degrees outside for two sessions. Total time outside 15 minutes, portraits of fun and total use of the surroundings priceless. Why rent a place and only use half of it. Cold you bet, you can see the small snow flakes in the group shot. What a great group of people, they would have done anything for the bride and groom that day. Sarah and David thanks again for adding another hour before the ceremony. I think the extra time really helped us capture all the romantic photos you could have wanted.

One of the photos I took for brides of france a unique bridal boutique. They will be using this image in there new branding campaign. Beth Freeburg does a fantastic job on the marketing over there cant wait to see her new pieces.

This is a photo of one of my good friends Frank Sander a local artist. He is now up for the Bush Grant for the arts. Way to go Frank! This is the only guy I know that can pull off vertical and horizontal stripes in the same outfit. His publicist said this was one of the best photos of Frank she had ever seen.

This head shot was used for the Rake a Minneapolis Saint Paul newspaper. Like usual they left out my photos credits. People please it just takes a minute to give me credit

I did a little light painting for a local coffee shop. Its pretty cool how you can record the different colors on the white coffee cup. Pretty labor intensive but well worth it. All my art on my website is for sale. Drop me a line if you would like to purchase anything.
